Thanksgiving Feast

The smell of eight turkeys roasting throughout the building was delightful. Many parents helped serve the meal to the entire study body at Lake Hills . Alan is ready to enjoy the mashed potatoes.

Even Mr. Chittenden is getting into the festivity. After all, he'll be traveling to Mackinac City on Thanksgiving Day and will probably be forced to eat a turkey sandwich while he drives. And then there is Kevin...always eager for a Kodak moment. "Hey, the stuffing can wait. Just hurry up and take my picture!"

Some of our parents also joined us for dinner in the school gymnasium. The staff of our food service department certainly "poured it on" for more than 200 hungry people. Brigitte and her mother, Alida, wait for a scoop of some delicious gravy. Who's counting fat grams this time of year?

Jonathan and Derek are not sure where to begin. Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, corn, bread rolls, apple crisp, and milk...wow...that's almost too much to digest in one sitting.

How many "turkey hands" can you see on our custom table cloth? Let's do this again next year!
